CELEBRITY MOMENT : Meeting Chioma Okoli, the Real Wosi of Skinny Girl in Transit

December 28, 2017 8 Comments
Aside the love I had for the entire cast of Skinny Girl in Transit, one character that made me love the series the more was the character of Wosi in the movie. Wosi is the maid that had a say in the family and house. She had a comic way of applying her makeup and also talking that I began to think she was really like that in real life until I came in contact with Chioma Okoli. Coming in contact with Chioma Okoli and then realizing she was Wosi in Skinny Girl in Transit was the shock of my life. Chioma okoli played the role of the famous maid and sure I didn’t let her slip off me without having an interview with her. Read and enjoy her interview section.

Can we get to know you better?

I’m Chioma Okoli. Other names Courage haha! I’m the fourth child of four in my family. I’m from Anambra state. Born in the 90s 👀. I’m quite creative, I like art - I was once a painter lol. I’m a bathroom singer, I like activity lol - working out, things like rock climbing, and sturvs. I like anything that focuses on my energy and passion

What your educational background

I currently study theatre arts and a final year student of university of Lagos.

How did the acting gig all start?

It all started when I heard a bunch of people tell me I needed to focus on my career now I was still very young, so I reached out to producers and texted them and Boom it happened, I got replies from them.

We know how the average Africa Nigeria Family could be like when it comes to picking up some form of carer, what was your family's reaction to taking up or going into acting.

Like I stated earlier on, I’m study Theatre Arts in the University of Lagos, so my family knew right from time haha! Nonetheless, I like to take charge of my life; after all it’s my life lol.

How many movies have you featured in?? If skinny girl in transit isn't your first

Skinny Girl in Transit is my first, and it made it so easy for me and paved some kind of ways lol. I’ve been on The Johnson’s, The Condo, and My Flatmates.

Truth be told I was shocked when I found out wosi was this hot looking Igbo babe like you and I had to reach out, how were you able to comfortably play the Wosi character so well.

Ah thank you! I got to do what I got to do, it’s passion; fine babe or not lol... fine babe tag no dey put food for table na.

What challenges did you face playing the Wosi Role?

I loved the role from day one, and then the whole crew is family, there’s so much love and laughter. So it was easy to tune into that personality.

Ever since going into acting, what have been the Challenges so far??

Well, I just started and God has been awesome! I haven’t really had major challenges, just the part where I get to go for 10 auditions and get picked for about 2 and then 1 later calls to cancel because one thing or another lol.

What are like your 5 year career plan, like in 5years time, do you still see yourself in the industry?

5 years from now, yes hopefully, I should still be here. Bigger and better!

Biggest and greatest fear?

I’ll say not being able to achieve all of my dreams

If you could travel this very moment where would that be????

South Africa, I like the adventure.

What's your take on divorce, as it seems to be a recent trend.

I believe in fighting for what you love, for as long as forever. First things, understanding. I don’t believe anyone should go into marriage without understanding their significant other. Whatever is screaming divorce, once there’s understanding, things can always be sorted out.
On the other hand, I tell people ‘if you’re not happy doing something, why stay there?’ Life is too short to be spent tighten things to your chest. So it depends on whatever works for you. There would also be a problem when the love is no longer mutual. When it’s 1-0. There has to be total equality; I love you and I believe in your dreams and ambitions, it has to be the same from you. Some people get to that point where they feel nothing anymore, that one is a no-no. It can’t go on when it’s just one person putting in all the work, and you can’t force love.

What's your take on young ladies been pressured to get married with the phrase "time is not on your side"

Time is not actually on anyone’s side lol, including the person preaching it. But I believe in every person discovering themselves first and figuring their lives out, you don’t just jump into stuff without finding yourself. By the way, pressuring a lady into marriage can only happen to a lady who wants to be pressured. If I don’t want to listen to your bs, I won’t. You can take a horse to the river, but you can’t force it to drink water. And I personally believe everyone’s life is balanced, everything is fixed and happening in the right order. That it’s happening for you at 21 doesn’t mean I can’t achieve it at 42.

I asked this entire marital question cause Skinny girl in transit centres on the attitude of an average African mom whose daughters aren't married yet, what's your stand on marriage, that is what is marriage to you???

Marriage is marriage lol. I think it’s a beautiful thing when you’re with the right one, and there’s lots of understanding. There’s nothing better than spending all your life with your best friend, growing together, making decisions together, and all that sturvs. It’s only typical of an African mom to rush her daughters into marriage; they think it’s like their days when man will just wink at you and next thing, altar. Lol the entire world has changed now.

In real life, are you more of the Wosi character that is comic in nature or the comic you is just for the movies???

Lol on all grounds, I’m more of the Wosi character. I’m very playful, and there’s never really a serious moment Sigh

How do you handle the star look from fans when you get them, and how has been a public figure affected your private life?

Well, I’m just getting there. There are lots of compliments here and there, people walking up to me to ask if I’m the same person that played Wosilat lol, cause nobody ever easily believes, and all sorts. I’m a naturally humble person, so I’m super excited when people tell me they are fans, I’m like oh whoosh! I have fans too? It’s a good feel. How the public attention has affected my private life. Lol nothing is affecting anything yet. I still do everything I been doing since day one.

THE STORE THAT CAME TO MY RESCURE

December 28, 2017 No Comment
So few weeks back I was looking for the perfect online store to get some outfit and accessories at very cool prices, I didn't want to look like mine was bad yet I didn't have enough cash on me, so I scrolled through my IG page and came across this page and decided to ring her.
To start with I love the immediate response I got from her and her willingness to help me work with my budget but what beats my imagination more was the fact that her prices beat other people's price and yet she sold quality items and bet you it wasn't scam... As I was scared at first  when  she said it was pay before delivery,  but she gave me a reasons trust her services..
Go check her out and thank me later as she deal on both  male and female outfits and accessories and  her stuff are of good quality too

Moments with Chioma of Seamplysylvia - (Interview Section)

December 25, 2017 No Comment

The journey of a thousand mile starts with a step, so is the journey to Enterprnureship and self employment. It's never been really as easy as we are made to believe. We met with Cioma  the creative director of Seamplysylvia an upcoming Nigeria fashion brand that caters to women clothing and fashion needs without them breaking the bank. She’s also the founder of PerYard.com a online platform where fabric vendors display their fabrics for people to make purchases at without visiting the market or store. She shares her experiences so far and lets us into her world as a brand.

Could you introduce yourself?

My name is Sylvia Chioma, a final year student of English language and the second child and daughter of my parents. Well that’s all about me. Though am into fashion and design, i also sell fabrics for vendors on my website. So if you want to shop for fabrics you could just check on the website for any fabric ranging from, Ankara, suit fabrics etc.

What are Your Hobbies?

Well i like reading

I thought you would say you love to sew

This one is no longer a hobby ooh its now work. We laugh about the comments. But I love reading
Tell us about the brand seamplysylvia.
Seamplysylvia is a female clothing brand, we clothe women to look beautiful, classy and still they don’t break the bank. At seamplysylvia, you get to look classy and dassy for any event you are going for and yet very affordable.

What Inspired Your Brand Name?

Seam is spelt S.E.A.M and it’s the thread, the stitches and all that. The brand itself is a brand that doesn’t like to make ambiguous things; I like to make very simple things. So since I am sewing and I like to sew simple things, I just merged them together.
Everyone has a way it started, so how did it all start?
Well I started sewing at a very young age, I started at age 7. (We both laugh at the age). I attend a primary school where skill was important, so they always taught us sewing and all that, but then we never did it on a professional level that when it came to sit in a sewing machine. We would always use needle and thread, sewing different type of things. That’s when the idea came into my mind that you could actually make an outfit, I thought it had to be made in a very special place and brought down here, I didn’t know you could actually just do it in your home. So my school thought me you could make an outfit in the comfort of your home. It’s very interesting and I am a person of skill, I make clothes, I make slippers (We laugh about it as i take a look at it because she advertised it on IG). I know how to make body products like body cream, hair crème i am very good with my hands.

So you would just call yourself a creative person?

Yes, because of the notion I already had as a child, that you can actually do these things at home, I felt I could do this, and I was really good at it back then. So no matter what I tried, it never really worked out, cause i tried been a writer but whenever I come back from work I find myself trying to cut materials, trying to sew, so I always went to bed late. So I kept asking myself instead of killing myself doing the both, maybe I should just do one full time that’s how I switched both up.

There’s this argument about who a fashion designer and tailor is, so can you tell  the difference between a tailor and a fashion designer?

A tailor is a man who makes male outfit, ( at this point I was shock) a seamstress is a lady who does female outfit, while a fashion designer is one who does the creative part of it, having to sketch. Some people are full time fashion designers; they don’t get to sew anything as their job is just to come up with designs.  Some people don’t like to be called tailor because of how some people localize tailor to the level is not what you want to do. Also people make it feel like if you’re not in some profession, you’re not doing anything, mean while some tailors make more money than bankers.

Did you did you encounter challenges from your parents?

Yes I did.  I did diploma in unizik for two years by the time I was done I was around the age of 19 or 18, so after that I told them I had wanted to go to Ghana to learn how to sew and they refused, my father said I needed to focus on having a degree at the university and all that. Somewhere along the line I found a way to get out of Nigeria to Ghana to learn how to sew, but I told them I was going to Ghana for a movie shoot. That’s how I left for Ghana to learn how to sew.

So you sponsored yourself?

Yes I did.

How did you raise money for that?

I was writing online and was a secretary for someone and also a PA to someone. Just to put money together and I did. I was in Ghana for about 8 months learning how to sew in Ghana.
What were you telling you parent during your 8 months in Ghana?

I had to stay off social media because I kept telling them I was on set.

What inspires your name calling for your collection?

What inspired the name Misan was when I called my friend who isn’t in the country and we were discussing our challenges we faced. She was going through much more than I was going through, but she was still encouraging me and asking me to be strong, I was really shocked cause I was supposed to be the one encouraging her as she was far from home while I was home. After I was done with the sketching, I told myself that I was going to name this dress after her because she is strong and kind.  She the kindness person I have ever met, cause even when she doesn’t have, she still gives.

How do you come up with styles, do you just look through peoples pages for style or you come up with inspiration?

First of all, lemme start by saying nothing is new; personally I don’t take peoples designs cause I know how much work goes into it. I don’t copy peoples design; however there are some designs that are just common. There are designs known to some particular people, you would know. If you see a dress made by Ejiro, you would know it’s her own. If you see a dress made by sisano, you would know cause they work with knots, if you see a dress made by Tope F n R you would know cause the clothe would be blinking all over the place. There are styles that are for everybody and there are styles that are just for a particular brand.  If I lack inspiration, I just go on line and look at other peoples work, by the time am done I get inspirations. It won’t be like your copying directly.

How do you push your brand to the larger market and make your brand different?

First, my selling point is my finishing, but I don’t hold on to that anymore because someone has brought an outfit to me to change the zip, that she didn’t like the zip and it was made from one of our top designers yet I didn’t know where to lose it from. That was the day I realized that my finishing was learning work where that particular finishing was, so I had to switch from what I had already known to what was done on the dress. Whatever I make you can wear it inside out and I don’t like seams. So that’s one of my selling points.  Another is customer relationship, so I tend to call my customer two weeks after I have delivered their outfit just to find out how they are, not to sell a new collection to them.  Am calling you cause at some point you’ve trusted me with your money and work. I deal with customer relation..

Some of her works

What do you enjoy most about dress making?

The fact I can think of anything and just make it. So if in want to put a shoe buckle on my clothe I can
If you made irreversible errors on a dress, what do you do?
Does that mean I can’t find the fabric anywhere in the world, if I can then I would buy it. There’s no mistake you can’t correct, there’s no problem you can’t solve. If I make a mistake, I go get the material back.
What’s your highest charge?
Its dependant on the details that goes into the cloth, and the price if the fabric in use. We’ve done as high as 60k.

How many hours do you spend in lace sewing?

Lace usually takes time; it can take as long as 12hrs
How do you manage large orders?
That’s our strongest point, I have tailors on standby,  so if we have large others, they come around we just finished one last week for a guy who own a boutique he requested for 200 pieces of blouses and he gave 2 weeks time line, there was no time. That kind of situation you need to invite everyone and divide it between them. They all know my type of finishing and I trust some of them to do the cutting because they are even more grounded than me. To reduce the work load, some people do the cutting, some the sewing and others the finishing, that way we do the work faster.

Do you train?

Online and offline, I have had two sewing classes this year and we had about a hundred and twenty students in total, it was amazing because I honestly didn’t think it could happen online, It just showed me I should have just been a teacher .

Who inspires you in the Industry?

That is Toyin Lawani, she inspires me cause she’s a mom and owns over 15 businesses if not even more, cause you never can tell other business she isn’t talking about. She inspires me cause I don’t intend to just sit at a place and be the lady behind the machines.

She’s Busy?

No she isn’t busy, she’s making money.  There’s a difference between been busy and making money, people are just busy these days and nothing is coming out from it. Si if you are busy, something should come out from it, that’s Toyin Lawini.

How does Nigeria fashion industry affect the economy?

Because of the type creativity that comes out from here, people from other countries if not other continent now come here to make outfit, they are literally bringing in money into the economy, now bride come here to purchase their bridal gown compared tp previous times. The fashion industry is a big one, we aren’t even asking the government to look into it as we can do fine by ourselves.  There are so many things the government needs to do and they aren’t doing it, like now I don’t have light right now. So that’s something for them to do. The fashion industry is doing allot when it comes to putting the country in the world map. Money is coming in here cause of the type of creativity we see in this country.

How does social media help grow your business?

It has helped me make a lot of money that I can’t lie about; it helps people know we are still in business. We aren’t posting it for you to place the order immediately; we are just trying to make an impression in people, just like coke cola will still put an advert out there, you need to let them know am in business for this particular thing, I know how to make this particular thing. More than all what social media is, we have made sales. Because am on social media, I have show cased my work, people have patronized us we have received money and we keep growing. Social media has gone far more than what we think it is.

What’s your advice to young people out there, what would it be?

My favourite song is encourage yourself, I have a song I play every day “speak over yourself and encourage yourself” no two people came to this world together, you are literally on your own.
You need to wake in the morning and tell yourself you’re a success, you can’t seat around and ask people to support you. People don’t want to be associated with failure; you need to tell people you can climb the bridge before they would be willing to help you move up the bridge, the more you sit and wait for people to help you, the harder it becomes. Just start from somewhere, I started from my room, then my fathers parlour, and then this store the next thing will be the uk. I started my business with one thousand five hundred naira

Tell us about it:

So I went to the market and saw this nice Ankara fabric and I was like ooh lemme buy it, I had just finished fashion school then, and I was broke I had nothing, all I had was a skill. I came home with the material and made a top, then told my sister to wear it and I put it on IG. I knew a fashion influencer I had worked with so I showed her the top and asked if she liked it, then she asked I sent it to her that she liked it and she would like to wear it, I wasn’t asking for money then, I just wanted to nice nothing in mind that if she puts on the blouse u would make sales, it was just me been nice to someone who was nice and humble to me. She wore it and orders started flying in, first day twenty people, second day ten people and in a week I had up to forty orders. So you see how it went from one thousand five hundred to forty orders. You can’t sit around and ask people to help you; there are so many free online classes you could learn from. Have you seen the form for Tony Elemelu fund, if you see it, you would know no one is ready t dash out their money that way. Always keep making baby steps. It’s a gradual process

What’s your five years goal?

My brand will be globally recognized and no one production company in Nigeria and African, we would be producing for fashion brands.

TALES OF A REBOUND GIRL 2

December 21, 2017 No Comment
At first, I didn’t oblige to his talk as I told him not to get carried away by the heat of the moment as exclusives had a way of making friendships go sour and how I also wasn’t sure if he wanted to be with me been that he had a girl friend who was outside the country and his reply to me was he isn’t a small boy who doesn’t know what he wants, and as for his girlfriend he wasn’t with her anymore.

His reason where he needed something more tangible and more realistic as the whole long distance relationship thing was no longer working because he needed his woman to be there by him and physically with him as he was getting older.

No it wasn’t like he was an old man in his 40’s, he was just the type of guy who had plans for himself and had set targets for himself but sometimes life happens and all this set goals don’t go as planned.

After much talk and everything, I felt I could give it a try because I felt I saw a man who saw gold in me and somehow made me feel like a million dollar, someone who believed in my dreams and had a way of encouraging me, someone I could be all I want to be with not hiding my real personality to him.

Everything went well till I started to notice a particular call he wouldn’t answer in front of me, I wasn’t even bothered about his phone and it been locked because mine was equally on lock mood and I had the mentality of a guy isn’t yours, until you walk down the aisle with him and because he’s dating you doesn’t mean he doesn’t have other female friends he could have some form of deep conversation with.

The calls were beginning to get very annoying and irritating.  I felt the best way to get back at him was to make him also feel that I could also answer very secret call but I guess that was very childish of me.

Before am asked if I never confronted him, well I did and all he said was they still talk but nothing serious and I should enjoy the moment we had and not be bothered about anything, yet he still saved her name with a pet name and mine as my name, no pets name nothing.

You would say that was all I needed to walk out of that relationship, but I still stayed, I needed him to tell the truth from his supposed work trip of 7 days which he never called to even texted to let me know he had arrived his destination, and when I called he never replied with the excuse he was so busy, and all what other excuses he gave that never went down with me cause I had already know the very painful truth.

Weeks went by and we became so cold to each other but I kept pushing and all till I couldn’t take it anymore called and told him how I didn’t understand anymore what we were doing and what was going on between us, Mr tried all his possible best to make me feel cool again, it worked till I got a message early hours of the morning, telling me how he couldn’t do it again, then I told myself it was finally time to talk. We let the weeks go by and finally I saw Mr.

Getting to Mr House was quite emotional for me as I thought he would really tell me the whole truth, but to my greatest surprise he came up with another story and line and we made up. To me that wasn’t all cause long people he even went back to his girlfriend, I was already done with the relationship.

One faithful Friday after a long wait for him to accept my request on Instagram which he didn’t, I finally realized it had been opened and lo and behold I clicked on a picture of him and his babes picture from a year ago and there we had it, his supposed work trip was all lies, it was him having a beacation with the one he loved and all that ran through my mind was picture of  a man who felt it was hard work dropping me off at a reasonable distance whenever I came to visit him, someone who was always tired but had the strength to travel far to be with the one he loved.

My annoyance wasn’t the fact he was with bea as my mind was prepared for it, my annoyance was why he started what he couldn’t see through, why he put me in a place of getting emotionally involved, why he didn’t let thing be the way they were, then it dawned on me that I was the REBOUND GIRL who was there to help him deal with forgetting her for sometime till they were ready to settle whatever issues they had.

What’s makes me laugh more about my rebound experience is though I hurt once in a while and still in the process of healing, we have like a better relationship now though, I could still share my hopes and fears with him but now not with the entitlement thing in mind.

TALES OF A REBOUND GIRL 1

December 21, 2017 No Comment

I still care about him now as much as I did then, though I couldn't express how much I did because I had my reservations and Fears which at a long run I wasn't wrong about. So for image protection sake, I would rather use nicknames than using regular names.

Using the word rebound which means a “distraction to keep a guy or girl from thinking about their recent break up” is as painful as the meaning of the word but well that was the role I played for quite some time.

I met Mr this very faithful day week day the early months of 2015 at the banking hall, where I had come to make a deposit to linda ikeji’s account by my then boss after we had ran an advert on her blog.

He was all I had actually pictured in a man I wouldn’t mind to date if I was ready to go that relationship way when it came to physical attribute, but that wasn’t the attraction though,  he made me laugh hard in a stylish way while attending to a customer along side his colleagues I can’t place a face on the image anymore.

Mr was tall, chubby, had nice dentition with a very nice perfect smile that left butterflies in my tummy and to sum it all up Mr was left handed.

Don't get me wrong there were other things I looked out for in any man I got close to, but some of these features listed here, makes it more interesting.

I can still remember every little conversation we had that day, which led to the exchange of contact and all.

I got a call from him telling me it was Mr from the bank and if we could hang out after the close of work and my reply was most definitely no problem. I got home after work, got dressed and waited for his arrival.

Getting dressed wasn’t because I was going for a date or anything, it was just the fact that I needed to come out of the official wear I had on so I could feel more comfortable. I would have simply waited for Mr at my office as our offices were housed in the same complex.
After the long wait which I understood because Mr worked in the bank, he finally arrived and off we went.

It wasn’t like a fancy date or rather it wasn’t anything close to a date, because to me I see a date as going to restaurant, getting decent meal and a little wine and the guy telling you upfront it is a date, but now I think a date really happens between two individuals who really care about themselves and the guy wanting to prove he is able to offer her the beautiful things of life.

Well we never had that type of setting or scenario as we only tagged our outings as hangouts to catch up on few drinks, laugh and keep ourselves company cause according to him his babe was based in another country "IN THE OVERSEAS".

I didn't have a problem with that cause going by what he said, he just needed that friend he could always lean on or spend some time with after the days job and truth be told I needed that to in my life at that particular time all my life routine was work, home and a friend’s house my big brother never really liked cause of the idea of his friend having anything to do with his sister. Months after month and we really clicked well, the only issue was I no longer was comfortable with the plan and as a result kept giving excuse upon excuse not to see him or even hangout with him. After months of no constant communication and hang out we lost contact and tabs on each other.

Fast forward early 2017, I went through my phone and realized I had not restored my Gmail backup contact to my phone as I was in search of a particular contact on my phone when I bumped in on his name on my phone, I was really excited about it that I placed a call through to him and we started off from where we left off in 2015.

Few months into our constant fresh communication and frequent visit which was done by mostly me, as I just felt I wasn’t ready for anyone coming anywhere close to my house, or I just needed a good reason to leave my environment, Mr started with all of the lovely talk of how he wanted to be more than just a friend to me and be my best friend, he wanted us to be people we could share our dreams and journey with and all that sweet lines men use in making a woman feel like a million dollar.

Head over to next post for the second part of it, and don't forget to drop your comments and suggestion on the comment section cause i would like to really read them.

My Top 5 Favourite Gospel Songs on My Playlist in 2017

December 21, 2017 No Comment
It’s so amazing how much music can teach you, and how well this thing called music could inspire you. Music to me is more than just the lyric, the sound, and the beat; to me music is more of a way of expressing myself, exploring my creativity, energising and motivating myself. In this post, I will be taking you on a tour of my favourite songs on my playlist, and giving reason why I seem to be shucked on them.

1: Yea and Amen: this one is by pritch, he’s a music director at Harvesters Christian centre and a gospel song writer too. This was realsed to the public mid 2017 and ever since its official realise, it’s been on constant replay on my playlist. This particular song has a way of ministering to me in ways I can’t necessarily explain. This one expresses the conclusiveness of God’s word as reflected in the book of 1st Corinthians 1:20

2: He did it Again: I had always heard this particular track from 2015, but never payed attention to it until a friend’s wife used it in her baby’s video collage mid 2017 and it all began to make sense and never left replay mood on my playlist. This is one of Sinach numerous tracks she has in her records. The song is a reminder of God power to always come through and get things done over and over again.

3: Holy Ghost:  Ty Bello is one person who touches souls with and in whatever she does. She’s a photographer and also a musical artiste. This one features Nathaniel Bassey. Ty Bello never produces anything that doesn’t impact the soul or society, this is a gospel song and a cry for help to God, it’s a  song of worship with intense amplitude showing our incapability of doing it on our own, and this song puts me to tears especially moment I find myself in a helpless situation.

4. Olowogbogboro:  Meaning the Outstretched hands of God. This song is by Nathaniel Bassey the soul brain and leader of the Hallelujah challenge train. It also features Wale Adenuga, and was released in the heat of the first ever Hallelujah challenge in 2017 which broke the internet and also touched life’s of many individuals around the globe. It’s a reminder of the power of God even in situations of impossibilities.

5. Eze Ndi Eze:  this was part of the long awaited album by two gospel musical ministers that I always loved to listen to, one while I was a child Don Moen and the other at my grown age Frank Edward. It runs for 3minutes 26 seconds but yet still ministers to every soul that listens to it with an understanding of the beauty and kingship of Christ.

The Wedding Party 2 Hits it Big Again

December 19, 2017 No Comment
That face you give when the wedding party 2 hits it big as highest opening weekend ever in nigeria box office.
When hard work meets good team and cast, then grossing the highest opening weekend in the history of Nigeria is most definitely inevitable.

Just like the wedding party did on its opening weekend grossing 36million and been the highest on the Nigeria billboard, the wedding party 2 has surpassed it with 73 million on the opening weekend and grossing as the highest ever in the Nigeria box office history.

Marital Cheating Turned Around

December 19, 2017 No Comment
What happens when  a woman cheats in a marriage, and there's a proof of her infidelity which is a pregnancy or a child. What is the husband expected to do.  Forgive her? Or accept her back, like a proper and well brought up African woman would be advised to do or rather would do cause she has to fight for her marriage and keep her family.

It's rather funny how society expects a woman whose husband had an extra marital affair to be forgiven, prayed for and even the woman going as far as working on herself cause she might be the reason her husband cheats, but expect or would rather advise the man to throw her out of the house if she was the one guilty of the offense as she would be tagged as wayward and lack respect for her marital vows and husband.
What Africans fail to realize is that cheating isn't always triggered by a patner action, but it's a voluntary choice by the cheating patner.

Trendy now on Twitter is the hilarious replies of Africans  to a Twitter user who announced that her friend found out his wife was pregnant but the child isn't his. Below are the funny tweet telling the man to do the same a normal African woman would be expected to do.

Post by Twitter announcer.

Hilarious and sarcastic tweets of users advising him to be supportive of his wife.

What's your thought on a cheating spouse, and what would you do if you find out your spouse had an affair and an end result of pregnancy... Feel free to share your thoughts on the comment section as they are like pat on my back of job well done....

My Top 5 Favorite Nigeria Chef

December 19, 2017 No Comment
The Nigeria food industry has grown from what it used to be before to what it is now, and with the rate at which it's going, the Nigeria food industry is set to over take some other industry soon.

We are way pass those days where people who took up a career in food business were seen as lazy, uneducated, or either broke and poor. We are in the Era where a plate of little quantity of food could cost you as much as 10k and yes you heard me say 10k and this is because the way and method at which this meals are prepared and served has over time evolved and improved.

Going by the rapid growth in this industry it can't be far fetched that there are a lot of individuals who have one way or the other made themselves players in this industry, and also proven to us that the industry is productive and profitable.
In this post, I would be sharing with you a few of my best Nigeria chefs which I summed down to 5 cause of their food preparation method , to their food plating skills and their food photography skills.

Chef Stone: the thought of chef Stone is the thought of chicken wings (Ifa season)  Chef stone is the founder of the Red Dish Chronicle a culinary school in Lagos and Abuja and also the maker of the Chef Stone spice.  His meals and his team professionalism is just simply amazing and what they do with meals prep and deco at his school is just out of here. He makes  meal prep and decorations look like something else but yet enticing and yummy to the tummy... His food photography skills are top notch too...

Chef Fregz: I call him my big man chef, while others call him Nigeria renowned celebrity chief. He isn't just big in body frames, but also big in kitchen creativity. His skills and act of making meals look so extra ordinary and also our Nigeria meals not look so Nigeria and so like the regular meal you know is what makes me love him.

Chef Eros: allow me one second to crush a bit and give a little history here, he was the reason I had wanted to get into catering, I was a stalker for a long while and was just waiting for an avenue to be one of his students or even intern at I am cookie jar after I was done with my university education, but then life happens and plans get changed sometimes... His the creative director Eros-group. When it comes to food plating games and colorful meal prep, chef Eros is just the run to chef for that. He has a unique way of making his meals very colorful and tasty too and his food plating skills will make you want to leave the food as a piece of art work. Did I forget to mention his cakes are just on another level of creativity.

Nigeria Lazy Chef: going by her name, she doesn't look so lazy after all. A food blogger, food writer and personal chef who majors strictly on Nigeria meals and she's  super good at it. She makes the average Nigeria meal look so lit..

Chef Jess: she's a Nigerian personal chef based in Paris and deal strictly on all Nigeria meals. She also makes local Nigeria meals such as roasted Boli, Ewa agoni and the host of others. what make me love her is her method of food packaging and also food combinations, leaving me in doubt of my own food prep skills

Photography credits go to all the chefs, as all images were gotten from their social media pages.
