#ELC2017 Speakers Recap

It's almost one week to the just concluded Excellence in Leadership Conference hosted by day star Christian center on the 3rd and 4th of November 2017.

The conference is an annual leadership development conference that brings together Nigeria's finest leaders ,entrepreneurs, professionals and innovators to share leadership lesson and ideas that will transform the current state of affairs in Nigeria and across African.

 The conference being summarized in one word would be "Inspiring" with top notch African international speakers and personalities doing great work in their areas of expertise, from the likes of Tara Durotoye, Richard More Damijo, Bank Akinmola and lastly Kolawole Oyeneyin.

Firstly, before sharing my take home lessons from the conference, I would like to give us a brief introduction of who and what the top notch global speakers are.

Tara Fela Durotoye:  She a wife and a mother to three handsome boys.  Tara Durotoye is the founder and CEO of house of Tara international and was the first to launch the first every bridal directory in Nigeria in the year 1999. Her first make up studio was set up in 2004 and in 2005, she established the country's first make up school, and by 2014, Tara launched her Tara product line and also hosted the first make up conference in Nigeria.  Tara Fela Durotoye has over a hundred and fifty people on her pay roll and over twenty two branches of house of Tara spread across the country. She was recognized Bunche world economic forum as a young global leader 2013, Forbes first twenty young powerful women in African 2013 and choiseul institute of France top hundred young African business leaders under 40 in 2014. Her business has been used as research case study by foreign institutions and university.

Richard Mofe-Damijo: one ofvthe biggest male actors in Nigeria and also African,  RMD published Nigeria first ever all gloss magazine for men "Minster". In 2008, he first served as a special adviser to the governor and then honorable commisoner of culture and tourism. RMD is also a PR consultant a father,  husband and grandfather.

Bank Akimola: founder and set man at world outreach church for all nations in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  Bankole "Bank" as popularly called could simply be referred to as a missionary. An author of May books and we'll sought after speaker at leadership conference, seminar and church conventors world wide.
He is blessed with beautiful wife,  three children and two grand children.

Kolawole Oyeneyin: founder/ceo of Venus group a creation and development company, Venus creates service and co-work office space across Nigeria for start up entrepreneur,  SMEs and multinationals. Kola is also the founder of Nigeria first digital auto insurance platform Auto Genius and ILx Center, a learning and development company.
Sleeves up youth empowerment and Get Voices was birthed from his believe in young people. Sleeves up has over 49 chapters across Nigeria and globally.
He is blessed with two beautiful women in his life, his wife and daughter.

Dr.  Joseph Siaw Agyepong: founder of Zion Ghana limited and fourty more companies.
Joseph journey to entrepreneurship had a humble start of selling exercise books for his mother to owninhbhis own printing press. Jospong Group of Companies operates in over twelve sectors of the economy ranging from waste sanitation and environment management , tele com publishing, I.C.T, Auto Mobil, manufacturing, logistics,  agriculture, real estate, banking, finances and Oil and gas. In 2011, he was awarded best Entrepreneur in Ghana but before then,  in 2008 he was awarded the Order of Volta,  then to top his awards,  he covered the August 2017 edition of Forbes African Magazine.
He is married to Mrs. Cynthia and blessed with five children.
